How Does Fibroblast Skin Tightening Work?
The fibroblast treatment has risen in popularity due to the numerous benefits over surgical procedures. There’s less downtime, it is much less expensive, no cutting of the skin and no stitches. This means you can resume your normal activities even sooner.Fibroblasts, aka Plasma skin tightening is comparatively new in North America but has been safely and successfully practiced in Europe for some time. The precision plasma instrument works by utilizing the voltage in the air between the device tip and skin to release a plasma charge. This electric flow, or arc, instantaneously shrinks the skin in the targeted area. This tissue retraction is what allows final results that are far more advantageous to traditional invasive surgical treatments.

How Long Does It Last?
Plasma Fibroblast isn’t like applying a gimmicky tightening cream. This is a cosmetic treatment and procedure. When performed correcly expect to have results to last as long as they would by having an invasive surgery. Like any surgical treatments the effects aren’t completely permanent and can’t stop the aging process.Having said that, the results you get should last for years. The impressive effect of the Plasma Fibroblast treatment should be apparent shortly after the first treatment and continuing to improve over the next three to four weeks. Depending on the body part treated and expected results, an additional treatment may be required after 6 to 8 weeks. Detrimental lifestyle choices such as too much sun, smoking, and excess alcohol consumption are discouraged to be able to maintain long-lasting results. Those who want a treatment must also be informed that individual genetics could have an effect on the length of treatment benefits.
What Can I Expect During The Day of Treatment?
You don’t want to wear makeup or use any moisturizers on the day of your treatment. Just simply come in with clean skin. We suggest taking an antihistamine an hour or so prior to your appointment and continue to take antihistamines for two to three days after your treatment. This will reduce inflammation in the treatment area.A numbing agent is applied to the procedure area and left on to take effect in 20 to 30 minutes. When the area becomes properly numb the procedure begins. During your treatment you will feel a small amount of some heat or minor irritation. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area.
During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is extremely important for getting the best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansing agents should be used in the week after your treatment. We highly recommend a pH balanced soap like Dove. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.
What Side Effects Should I Expect?
Fibroblast is shown to be a safe and non-surgical procedure for thousands of patients. This procedure has no stitches, needles or bloodshed in fibroblast treatments.Despite this, as with most aesthetic procedures, patients are more prone to experience few minimal side-effects during the initial 5-10 days after the procedure.
Almost all patients feel slight itching in the procedure area for a single day.
Fibroblast FAQ
Fibroblast treatment is a non-surgical lift procedure providing the same results as old-fashioned cosmetic surgery. Fibroblast is low risk and bloodless, without having to use anesthesia. Fibroblast is virtually painless with medical-grade anesthetic gel applied to the skin leading up to treatment. This advanced technique won’t cause overlifting. Only the excess skin is affected within the procedure. Patients can observe results right away, though it takes 2-4 weeks for the full effect to be apparent. The Fibroblast procedure can only be performed by a well trained and certified practitioner.
Yes. Any individual considering Fibroblast treatment is required to come in foran in-person consultation appointment. Careful evaluation by a Diva Brows Fibroblast specialist will assure the ideal treatment solution. Several components affect the process of aging. Each person and area of treatment is different and need to be considered independently. Our goal is to keep clients educated and fulfill their expectations.
How is the Fibroblast Treatment performed?
When activated, the Fibroblast device creates an electrical flash that extends from the tool’s tip to the area of treatment. The instrument itself does not touch the skin, however the plasma flash results in a very small dot on the skin upon contact, shrinking the surrounding skin. Further points are applied, developing a symmetrical grid over the procedure area. This essentially results in the tightening up of skin fibers. Only the skin surface is impacted. The skin’s deeper layer known as the basal lamina is not damaged. Fibroblast is non-invasive treatment, no cuts to the skin or stitches are necessary. Fibroblast is entirely without blood and without any unnecessary damages to adjacent skin cells.
How long does the Fibroblast procedure take?
To decrease any discomfort a medical-grade numbing cream will be used on the skin-tightening area. It may take 30 minutes for the topical anesthetic to take effect. The process on its own takes between 15-30 minutes dependant upon the size of the treated area. Your treatment appointment shouldn’t last longer than one hour.
Is Fibroblast Treatment painful?
Fibroblast is non-surgical treatment, with virtually no pain and minimal discomfort reported by patients after the procedure. A medical-grade topical anesthetic ointment is applied to numb the treated area leading up to treatment. Immediately after the treatment the skin will likely be reddened and lightly swollen. This may commonly last as long as 3 days, although slight redness may continue for as long as 2 weeks. During the process carbon crusts will form on the skin precisely where the Fibroblast equipment was used. Crusts shouldn’t be touched for 5-7 days, but post-procedure foundation may be used to conceal them. In order to reduce additional complications you will be advised on proper aftercare following the procedure.
Are there any side-effects after Fibroblast Treatment?
Fibroblast is very safe and side-effects are uncommon but with as with every skin treatment, infection, scar tissue and temporary change of skin pigmentation can occur. Carbon crusts, tiny superficial dots which form on the skin, are part of the typical healing process. When appropriately treated with after-cream, these small dots will drop off 5-7 days after treatment. Light inflammation can be expected throughout the first 3 days and are quite often completely gone within 7 days.
Are there specific Fibroblast after-care instructions?
Yes, definitely. It is crucial that you should follow our after care instructions. Carbon crusts CANNOT be scratched or picked off. Drying your skin by blotting with a clean, lint-free material is allowed. Aftercare balm should be applied to the area repeatedly. Healing skin has to be protected against direct sun with SPF50 cream. Sports, including swimming and sauna are not authorized until crusts fall off. This will come to pass within 7 days of procedure.
Should I watch for unusual complications?
Fibroblast is incredibly safe, however in some uncommon circumstances complications may occur. Please talk to your Diva Brows Fibroblast consultant right away in case of any unusual symptoms. This could include indicators of infection such as excessive redness, pus, blistering or a thick, yellow crust building in treatment area.
Can I use cosmetics after Fibroblast Treatment?
The treated skin area will be covered with carbon crusts which form during the the procedure. They should not be picked away therefore it is required to stay clear of any moisturizing creams for between 5-7 days. This is generally when crusts fall off. Also patients will need to avoid all direct heat sources including the sun, UV radiation, saunas etc for the period of at least 4 weeks.
How should I prepare for Fibroblast Treatment?
There are no specific requirements prior to treatment. We suggest not applying any cosmetics ahead of the treatment. You’ll want to tell your Fibroblast technician about any current medical conditions and medicines taken. Talk about any cosmetic procedures or aesthetic treatment options currently conducted on your skin.
Are the full effects from Fibroblast Treatment visible right away?
Most people can feel the effect of the treatment immediately. Despite this recovery process will persist and the full result is obvious within 2-3 weeks. In some instances patients may need several treatments. This will depend on the area being treated, condition of the skin and patient’s expectations.
How many treatments are required?
In most cases just one treatment can be enough, particularly with lesser corrections. Most of the treatments will be determined by the size of the area of treatment and the client’s desired quantity of correction. The entire effect of the first treatment will be evident after 2-4 weeks following your treatment. If the patient needs further treatment to obtain maximum results, those will be scheduled at 6 to 8 week time frames. Results of the Fibroblast non-surgical lift is comparable to traditional techniques. In order to evaluate the number of necessary procedures a face-to-face appointment is required.
How long does Fibroblast Treatment last?
The procedure should last long term rather than just a few months. Though it is challenging to predict exactly what your results may be. Growing older is a dynamic progression and you will find many aspects affecting persons individually. Lifestyle, eating habits and gene history are just a few underlying factors. Currently permanent outcomes are unachievable, after a Fibroblast treatment or traditional surgery, your skin is subject to aging. Your skin layer will continue to relax (loosen) once again. In some exceptional occasions, aging could be accelerated and the effectiveness of Fibroblast could be shortened. Your Diva Brows Fibroblast professional will discuss those types of conditions, to make sure patients have a much better familiarity with what they should expect.
Yes, definitely, it is. Fibroblast is an innovative state-of-the-art product made in Germany. This means that the equipment meets substantial safety, health and environmental protection requirements. Fibroblast treatment is already highly sought after across Europe. It has rapidly become the chosen treatment for those thinking of a non-surgical skin lift.
