How Long Does It Last?

What Can I Expect During The Day of Treatment?

You shouldn’t put on makeup or use any moisturizers, lotions or creams on the day of treatment. Just come in with clean skin. We suggest taking an antihistamine an hour or so before your appointment and continue taking antihistamines for 2-3 days after your visit. This reduces inflammation in the procedure area.

A numbing agent is applied to the procedure area and left on to take effect in 20 to 30 minutes. When the area is properly numb the procedure begins. During the treatment you might feel a small amount of heat and minor irritation. Your treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the procedure area.

During the first appointment you will be given after care instructions. Following these instructions is critical for achieving the best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. We would suggest a pH balanced soap like Dove. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.
